Question Problem with adding car to Registry...

Need some help here...

When I try and add my car to the Registry, after clicking on "Registry" button, then on "Add Your Car Now," the page only loads halfway, ending with "Purchase Price" and nothing below it.

I've got all cookies enabled, my firewall shutdown, lancerforums.com listed as a trusted site, etc. I don't know what else to do. Anyone have any suggestions?

Oh yeah, I'm using IE 6, and don't have Netscape installed (and won't), so I can't try that.

Thanks.

That's weird. Do you happen to have access to another computer so you can try and access that page from elsewhere? I have IE6 as well and can't duplicate this problem.

Also can you click View and then Source and see if the code just stops at the end or is there some kind of error message showing up? It seems like the server is just timing out for some reason.

When I look at the source, it stops at the same place, right after "purchase."

I don't have another PC. I tried logging in as another user in win2K, but that didn't work either. Finally booted into Linux and did it that way.

Now I'm getting the same problem anytime I try to do something with the Registry: Adding a vehicle, editing a vehicle, adding mods, etc. The pages always get cut off.

Weird. Dunno.

This is weird. I can only think that maybe the server is timing out for some reason. So you're experiencing this problem in Linux as well? If so, I guess that rules out trying to clear your cache

Here's a suggestion, try signing up at altimas.net and see if you can see the whole page load when you click add new car:

http://www.altimas.net/registry/

If you're experiencing the same problem there, then it code be something in the code.

I *did* get it to work in Linux.

I went over to Altimas.net and everything works great over there. My firewall was running too, so that's not it.

I just cleared out my temp files, and the pages still didn't load. Then I cleared my history, same thing. Then I went in and deleted the lancerforums.com cookie, and that didn't work either.

Very strange.

This sucks. I have a feeling it has something to do with this server. I have some problems accessing my own site as well. Things time out for me and I can't figure out why. It only occurs on my own computer, not even one right next to it on the same dsl connection!

The site may move onto a new server in the future, so hopefully that will solve the problem.

Hey, I think I have solved the problem. Both of my computers are Win 98 OSR2 and didn't work.

Right now, I'm on my friend's roadrunner with Win 2000. It may be an OS problem.

I have probs when I click submit it says no vehicles registered. I've tried using Win2k Proffessional IE 5 and MacOSX IE 5.5

Glad to hear it's not just me.
