I have a computer genius friend who always fixes my computer and he raves about nod32. I have been running it for over a year with great sucess and its ironic because I remember seeing a box pop up a couple of times from nod32 telling me about something originating from evom. I just x'ed out of everything and started again.
EDIT: Just found some log files...

i normally use firefox and with adblock and have 0 problems, we have a common laptop in my living room that all my room mates use...we were doing some stuff with proxy's and long story short I had to use IE because ff was configured for proxy use.
as soon as I get on this site and start browsing I get a UAC request for some random .exe I kept clicking no and closed IE, fast forward a few days and I get the same thing and then start getting fake A/v alerts (while browsing this site) (i guess some one else clicked something)
there is something being served up through this site
I didn't bother checking any logs or anything since its a common machine with nothing important I just deleted the partition and started all over

Thank you for the information. The IB techs are aware of the reports and have not been able to track any specific malware down. I don't know if these are false positives or not, however, considering we get 1000's of page view daily, it is not a persistent problem. I use Webroot which updates definitions every 60 minutes and have never received a flag from Evom.
For everyone going forward, if you can, please screen capture the page when the pop up appears. If will help if we can pinpoint the Evom page. Thanks.

I would say mine were defiantly not false positive considering I run no Anti virus/spyware software on that machine, I just started getting a fake "win 7 anti virus" alert that was very intrusive
the process doing all this was called xxl I think

I had some trouble getting on this weekend.
Used google ---> evolutionm and my anti-virus blocked the site completely. Opened the tab and got a few suspicious file warnings. Using it now the site runs very slowly and I'm getting the loading bar still, as I type.
(firefox with nod32 and malwarebytes if anyone wants to know)

I though this was going to be about condems...
Spy-Bot
Malwarbytes
Microsoft Security Essentials
Norton and Macafee Suck!!!
With the top 3 I never have any issues. Just keep them up-to-date and you'll be fine. Ran these on 100+ PCs and rarely had issues. No I don't have 100+ PC's, IT dude.
It mostly depends on the user though. stupid user = viruses and issues = money for me

the new norton is suppose to be leaps and bounds better then the old one.
I still roll with 0 protection and scan my machine twice a year and come up with pretty much nothing
before taking my chances I ran Bit defender
