Creation of an Event Photo Section
Hello,
I've been a member of EvoM for a while now, and I'm a very avid photographer. I attend many events, whether they be car shows, dyno days, bbq's, and the like, and always find it hard deciding where to create a thread where I can showcase the photos I've taken at the event. I recently had to make this decision on Sunday after covering the AKUMA Motorsports Open House/BBQ, and always have the same problems when I shoot any of CBRD's Dyno Days/Open House, and the other car shows and events I cover.
I know the Show & Shine sections are there for members to post photos of their rides, so I don't feel it's a good place to post about events since there are many different Evo's and a variety of cars that attend.
You might say, use the regional forums depending on where the event is. Well, that could work, but than it isolates your event coverage to only those who frequent that regions forum. A person in SoCal won't be looking in the NorthEast forum for anything unless they randomly wander in there.
A general 'Event Photo' Section, or whatever you'd like to call it, would be able to share with the whole EvoM community the events that go on across the country. They get to experience and see the cars that attend, without having to physically be there, and it allows photographers to show off their work and get feedback at the same time. It would bring the entire site and all the activities we have going on to one place and bring everyone together. It would be a centralized location for everyone to post about their event coverage.
Mods, what do you think? Can we make this happen? Thoughts and opinions are welcome!!!
