OTD price threads

Can the mods post a notice that pricing threads must be useful for everyone or they'll be at least locked or at best deleted?

OTD cost is useless to anyone not in the same location. For some it's not even useful in the same state as different localities have different tax rates.

The total cost to someone means nothing whereas the price before taxes, fees etc. would be useful to anyone, at least in the lower 48.

Mods, please, would you institute a ban on further OTD threads and make them the useful price information instead of the useless cost information?

Thank you.

No one has any comments or wishes to get away from useless info and stick to useful info?

I think the OTD pricing should be allowable if the Vendor is willing to send the product anywhere (around the world) for that OTD price. If they are not, they should post the product price and list that it the number is 'plus shipping'.

Another thing that bothers me is Vendors who ask people to PM them for specific pricing.

I apologize. I should have been clearer. I meant threads on the car itself. It seems like every week there is a newbie, or an oldie, posting an otd thread and they are just useless. If I know 25 people got a price of $xx plus taxes etc. that is worthwhile. If I know 25 people have cars that cost $xx otd that's useless since I don't know their tax rates, fees, etc. to figure out how to get any help from their numbers. What I'm asking is for threads relating to the car price to be just that, the price and not the final cost.

We could try and ask for the pre-delivery price, but some people may not know if off hand, making it hard to enforce.
