For cluttered desktops try making auto-hide task bars. Dunno how XP is...didn't like the OS enough to stick with it, but it's nice to have a fast, easily accessible, single-click option for getting to frequently used files and programs. I'm trying to get a completely icon-free desktop. It's easier than one would think.

Hide icons when desktop is viewed as a web page? Hell yes!

LanEvo, maybe this will help:

Instructions:

A. Right click on your desktop anywhere but not on an icon.
B. Go to Active Desktop->Customize My Desktop.
C. Find the "Web" tab at the top. Click it.
D. Check the box next to "Show Web Content on my Active Desktop".
E. Click "New".
F. Type https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/latest.php
G. Click "OK" and then "OK" again at any alerts that open.

Once you get here, then just check the box next to the new site you just added, in this case the site being https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/latest.php. Once the box is checked, hit "OK" you will be able to view the latest threads on your desktop!

Hope this helps!
