Funny thing is, I bet it takes a while for the local officers to get word of this and they'll still be trying to harrass me. I'll give it a month, then go to the courthouse and police department to check that they have gotten the word. Then again this is coming from me, I've never claimed to be normal... OCD what?!?!

It says basically this:

Starting whenever (probably sept 1st) the dept of transportation will start giving only one plate to people. The two plate thing you are talking about says that if you have two plates (which most cars right now do) then it is ok for you to drive with both as long as both were given to you by DOT....ie people who got plates before sept 1st of 2005.

hope that clears it up..

...oh and other people have had confusion about what the entire bill is...basically this new 1 licsence plate law is only a very very tiny niblet of a statement in the overall gigantic bill that has to do with state finances.

so for people who were given two plates from the state, after this bill passes, can you just remove the one on the front, or do you need to get a new "rear-only" plate?

Bad news guys, the bill was amended and that section re: front plates was removed.

I'd like to figure out who exactly removed it. I'm sure we could set up a letter writing campaign to ridicule him.
