No More Front plates in Texas if H.B. 3540 Becomes law
#36
Hey Josh,
Cool. Where is Peter's new shop at? Can you ask him if he still wants to swap hoods? I don't even need it painted, just a straight swap. I'm having some other paintwork done and respraying that small spot would only cost a few bucks, so its no big deal.
I need to see if I still have his number around.... I can't wait to see his car up and running.
Later...

yep me too, I searched and ended up with big defeated head. The bill was fine when it went to the senate and into committee, then out of the committee it all of a sudden reads COMPLETELY different for section 9. Hopefully we can find out who's behind this...
my thoughts are that the police lobby got wind of it and made a big stink (ie told them to delete it, so they did) because as any cop will tell you, the reason they have the law in the first place is to pull someone over in order to "make contact." ie pull someone over for no reason but to have an excuse to stop them to look for warrants, drugs, etc.

If we all band together and go without front plates maybe that will get their attention and they will add it back in...
If not then we'll gather posses in our respective areas and go around one night and take all of the front plates off of cop cars first then if that still doesn't work then we can do it to all cars statewide and since they will be sooooo overwhelmed they'll have no other choice but to pass a bill allowing only one plate...
Ya'll with me?!?!?
I don't hear the crowd roaring.... Hey... I am not a dumb_ _ _...
It could work....
Maybe...
Or not...
If nothing else we could go drown our sorrows with some frosty beverages and gripe amongst ourselves about how it should be... Oh wait, I forget you don't need an excuse to drink.
