evotino, there is a sizeable group of us from the centex area that gets together at least once a month. We always post in the South Region section with each new upcoming event. At our last function in San Antonio we had approx. 24 Evo's show up. If you scan this section today you'll find that we have a dyno day in Austin at the end of July. I'm also working on a track day in August as well as a river float/going away party for HiHeatEvo that I'll posting about soon. Stay tuned!

The wife and I go to the Y in Oak Hill but have not been in a while. It was usually old school muscle, but fun anyway.

Great, I can't wait!
Is anybody else interested in taking road racing lessons? I know there are some Texas tracks that will teach you how to drive in your own car. I think it would be fun to get a bunch of Evos up there.

I'm in Austin, just checking in and saying Hey! I go to the Y in Oak Hill sometimes also but haven't been in a few weeks. I imagine since Van's is toast that there will probably be more people at the Y now.

Let's hope the rice from Van's will not make it's way to Oak Hill. I must say as much as I don't enjoy "meets" it was always a refreshing break from modern plastic cars to see the real machines that would come out to HEB. Since the first car I worked on was a cherry '40 Ford Coupe at age 6, my ultimate respect will always be with the domestics, the good ones anyways Oh and hi, I'm in the Austin/SA area, usually bouncing back and forth.

Has anybody heard of The Drivers Edge? There are 2 events in TX this fall that you can see at http://www.thedriversedge.net. I have been checking out race schools and this is more convenient than going to Bondurant or Skip Barber--cheaper too.
