Okay so this is the curb vs. evo thread version 2. It all started when Big Bird (s2000) got tickets to see tokyo drift at midnight. So the movie was actually decent and of course got everybody in the drifting spirit. After the movie we acquired all the ricers in the parking lot and Big Bird and I went to show them lessons in drifting. All went well for about 6 turns with excellent drifting jdm asian style. (Before anybody says awd cant drift with slicks and high revs yes it can).

I was feeling confident with my drifting skillz and took a yellow turn light next to gp mills and my *** end came out nicely but I came in with way too much speed and popped the median at about 40mph. So one tow truck trip later I'm in need of a new bumper, rim, tires, and front shocks maybe. Pictures will be posted.

Now ensue with the bad driver comments because I really deserve it

most places showed it at midnight... but yea... i guess if you're doing that kind of stuff after the movie, i guess you haven't grown up yet

thats why i plan on not goin to see the movie tonight and instead show up around 9-10ish with a bag or pop corn and watch all the lil ricers try and drift there cars thru the parking lot and pull a MR SLAPPY

Not to be rude man but honestly this is exactly the reason why my fellow norcal drifters and I have no place to drive track no more. We used to have a place called Altamont Raceway Park in Tracy, CA. Used to be a boring outer oval and inner oval. But hey for 50 bucks all night drifting you cant beat it. Having a place to drive for a bargain and with that feeling of keeping it safe off the streets and setting a good example to spectators is one of the best feelings in the word. Well an organization called NCDA set up two track days every month on the first and third Thursdays…for about two straight seasons with no problems what so ever. Well hello MAD JDM tyte Asian style drifter. Now we don’t have a place like this anymore. Apparently some idiots were drifting on the streets right next to the track. And lets just say the owners of ALTAMONT raceway refuse to hold our affordable track days now. They now have this negative outlook on drifting just because of couple people just trying to have some fun. (Was it worth it? Honestly?)
Altamont has remodeled their historic track for the new season of 2006 to be more drifting friendly and some irresponsible people just ruined it for a lot of people...I’m not trying to pin this on you or anyone, But we all can make a little difference and TRY? To put a better name behind the word DRIFTING. Guys we all know this movie is going to have a negative effect on everyone in the car community and lets just try to be little more mature and over come this. I don’t need any more people criticizing me for drifting on the streets just for owning a 240sx.
