Houston Evos Help!
Ok, so Im from Houston but I go to college at A&M in College Station. I need to find a shop to ask a question about my clutch, or at least have it checked out. I know I could take it to any old shop and have them inspect it, but Id prefer to take it to a shop that may have had some past experience with Evos. Which shop do most of yall take the Evo to, other than the dealership of course? Anywhere in the Houston area of in between Houston and College Station would be nice
Thanks in advance.

Also, do you think most places will charge me just to "inspect" my car? I think the biggest problem is that I bought my Evo used, so I dont even know what a normal clutch on an Evo is supposed to feel like because I dont know what its like new.

they will probably only charge you if they have to wrench on the car. or you can come to the Houston Evo meet on 10/15/06. You can ask 20 Evo owners if your clutch is normal or not.

Of the three I only have experience with CarBoy, and I'm happy with them.
They put in my clutch and flywheel last year. Since then it's done 2 track days and about 20,000 street miles and is still going strong.
They also did some rotors and pads and a few sets of drivetrain fluids. One time when I went there they had another Evo up on the rack getting it's t-case swapped out. They have Evo experience, and I like the fact that when I leave my car there it's generally one of the least expensive in the shop.

Here's a recent thread about Engine Logics and a clutch install.
