1 Step Colder Spark Plugs -- EVO IX

Can anyone tell me which spark plugs will fit the EVO IX that are 1 step colder? I have searched and haven't foound anything besides greddy and HKS making them and them costing $100 for a set. Aren't there any NGK's Iridium's or coppers that are 1 step colder that fit the EVO IX?

thanks.

Same as stock, but with an 8 instead of a 7... Why do you want colder plugs?

If the mods you have are only the ones in your sig then you would probably be better off with the stock heat range plug.

There is tons of plug info on here. Here are a few threads to start:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ighlight=plugs

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ighlight=plugs

Personally, I prefer NGK...and they make about every plug you could possibly want.

Cheers!

I recently got a m1 flash from jestr, and it was knocking a bit so figure to take care of that i should buy a set and throw them in there to see if it helps a bit. I was considering coppers, any part specific part numbers on these plugs?

Axiom power is charging a bit much last time i requested a price for these plugs so thats a no go...

I'm sure the "knock" we saw in the log was more due to the tune being "in the rough" for your combination, but mostly the COLD air. I'm sure Jestr will get you another image that will take care of that. I've seen higher knock counts on a stock flash/stock Evo in the cold air that log was done in... I'd shoot an Email to John.

Although there is limited discussion on IX plugs, the info applies to choosing brand/type of plug and discusses the need for changing heat range...which applies across engine types. It's also to show that choosing plugs should be the product of careful research and consideration of needs/design.

That said...you're welcome, and good luck!
