Coming Soon - 05 SIlver Evo For Sale
It pains me to do so, but I'm putting my 2005 Evolution up for sale soon. I started a winery a year and a half ago in California...but I live in Texas right now. So, it's time to put one passion on hold to pursue another. Since California cost of living is higher, I'm going to be moving into something a little less expensive. Based on how trouble free my Evo has been, that next car might be the 08 GTS.
Anyway, I purchased this car right off the truck at the dealership, it was among the last of the 2005's coming in. Silver, non-SSL, and had 2.6 miles on the odometer when I picked it up. It currently has just over 22,000 miles, which is about 10k a year. It's my daily driver, but I only live about 3 miles from the office. I am an INSANELY obsessive car owner. The day I got it, I put down all weather floormats (which will come with the car). My feet/shoes have never actually touched the carpet floormats. The car has been valeted twice in it's life and I hated it both times, but it came out unharmed. It has never been intentionally parked next to another vehicle in a parking lot and therefore over 2 years later, it doesn't have a single door ding. No accidents, no body damage of any kind, aside from a couple of little rock chips, it's immaculate inside and out.
It has been garage kept all but 3 nights of it's life and has covered parking at work. And stays quite clean. I'm the guy that sees a bird crapped on my car and I clean it off the next time I'm in the garage. I have had all regular maintenance items done at Don Herring Mitsubishi in Plano, TX. That is where I bought the car and I've maintained that relationship with them. It was properly broken in and never above 5k during it's first 1000 miles. Another thing that is not often the case with a used Evo is the wheels have never been curbed, not a scratch on them. The car has never seen a drag strip or road course...I do NOT beat on this car. It's pampered.
All other work has been done by myself (just the easy stuff) and KevinD of Evolution Dynamics, a respected local Evo tuner here and an EvoM Vendor. Because this is my daily driver, I wanted to mod it but make sure I didn't make it less dependable. It has been flawless so far.
HKS Intake Pipe with Fujita Filter
Evo IX BOV
HKS 272/272 Cams
Hallman MBC (set at and tuned for 21.5 psi)
XS Power TBE with Test Pipe and built in CEL fix (CEL fix by JoTech – awesome)
Walbro Fuel Pump
The car was wideband tuned/flashed by Evolution Dynamics for the above parts
Autometer Boost Gauge (steering wheel mounted, reads PSI)
Black UK Evolution VIII badge
Greddy Counterweight Shift Knob
Authority Carbon Fiber Exhaust Heat Shield (installed before I hit 1,000 miles, no bumper discoloration underneath)
BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Tires (less than 10k on them)
Tinted all around
Passed inspection last month
Also, I have all the original factory parts...I sold nothing. It will all come with the car.
KBB on the car for private sale is $25,000, I am offering it for $24,000 firm.
If it doesn't sell as is, I will convert it back to stock, trade it in, and then sell the parts separate. If I DO find a buyer, I would like to work it out so that the transaction takes place at the dealership where I purchase my next car so that I can do an “in and out”. If you're not familiar with that, basically just means the dealership would give me $24,000 for my trade in, then immediately sell it to you for the same price. It allows me to sell it privately, but still get the tax credit for it. Also lets you get the car without the dealer having a chance to mark it up.
I will have some better pictures later, but I wanted to get this up as an early heads up to the South Forum in case anyone is looking. Hoping to find a buyer that will treat this car as well as I have. I am traveling a lot between now and the middle of October, so as far as timing, I'd be looking at late Oct or early Nov for the sale to take place.
If you are interested in the car, I will take you for a ride in it. If you are genuinely interested AND financially capable of buying the car, I'll let you drive it. (Sorry, it's tough, only KevinD, 2 valets, and the service department at the dealership have been in the driver's seat)
