So what the f**k are the guys that are running E85 going to do. That stuff is almost 108 octane if you get the good stuff. Sorry but I think that story is BS unless I see some ticket or warning. No to mention that there are many non-rice looking cars running E85 from the factory.

Story is not BS. It happened to my friend. No tickets except the music violation because he is on 93 octane. E85 guys will be okay because it is not illegal. There are E85 pumps, there are no 110 octane pumps. And dont mention that it can be purchased at a race track because everyone knows that. Story is far from BS. Take it how you want, but my boy warned me, im letting everyone here know so there are no surprises. May also be able to call KPD and ask them about it. It isnt illegal to ask about it. He wasnt even mad about the ticket because he knew that was his mistake. He was mad that they cuffed him, put him in the back of his car when all they had to do is tell him what they were going to do. He could have sat on the curb and waited. They take the fuel sample with a peace of paper, rub it in the entry way of your gas tank, and the whole color thing shows up stating what octane they are using. I dont know the exact nomenclature's, but you get the idea.

But what system can they base this from??? I mean wouldn't e85 constitute as race gas due to 106+ octane? So I see the e85 guys might still have a little problem on their hands...and on top of that if you tell them you're running e85 in a non flex fuel car...they can get you for that...

Ya if this happens here e85 would classify as a race fuel but they shouldn't be able to do that search without proper documentation or ur consent.

Called my neighbor from kuwait to get the real deal story bc he is a 18yr. career police officer of KPD. Reports have been made of weird fuel smellings...( fresh n fruity race gas) around killeen and harker heights at local gas stations. They arent just pulling random people over and checking fuel. If your buddy was pulled then it was clearly done by some rookie police officers that didnt understand what was going on and had nothing better to do then to f**k with someone that night.

I wouldnt even worry about this subject anymore, i will be on E85 in 44 days and a wake up and I wont even think about getting pulled over to have my octane read. With fuel test kits running at $22.45 a tester I dont believe KPD has enough budget to purchase them when they can barely pay the officers in the city
