I have seen it happen on the SRT4, but the coil pack is right in front of the turbo. On an EVO though no. I would think someone would have to be here last summer in that heat wave running the heck out their car for that to happen.

Does anyone have a stock IX turbo they want to sell? I'm thinking it would be a cheap up grade for the SRT4. From what I have been hearing the EVO turbo is a direct bolt on with the mopar stage 3 manifold. Just some oil and coolant line tweaking is needed. I have seen done on the SRT forums. I'll be out tonight at Cato

I sure did. Blew that joker up! I even changed my avatar for a short while as an inside joke to those that knew about it. The short story is that I was stranded and had no other choice of fuel. Well, instead of just putting in 1-2 gallons, I filled that joker up. Well, after a few days, I forgot that I was running the 87-octane and did some NLS practicing by the Metroplex hospital and *ka-blewie*...

So a pull on bad gas caused yours... hmm.. well my buddys eight keeps going through coilpacks for no reason he took it to a shop down here in houston but typically he got srcewed over by them. They gave the runaround talking about his wiring was messed up so they supposidly fixed it but didn't fix the problem and now they're saying it could be his ecu
