What do you guys think about the FP gt3582 hta vs MAP ef3 turbocharger? I'm slightly in a bind which one to go for since I do prefer the faster spool.

You mention wanting spool and then you list a T3/T4 frame turbo and a stock frame turbo. The comparison of which will have the quickest spool is easy - MAP EF3. The GT3582 flows approximately 75-lbs/min whereas the EF3 is more compared to the FP Red.

Yeah you're absolutely right, thanks for clearing that up.

I'm intentionally staying away from setting up my car as a drag/race car which makes the GT35 turbos out of the question. in theory I want to be able to reach 450-500+ whp, realistically I'll be happy to hit past 400 whp and tq. More of an auto cross/street set up I would think.

Get a fp green on e85 and you got your self a 400-400 setup easy for autocross with insane spool

That being said, a stock IX turbo on E85 will easily do the job as well and it is not as expensive as a FP Green. I have seen them sell on here for $400-550. With that, I would recommend ECU-controlled boost in order to keep that torque curve from hitting too soon for the stock block. 400whp and 400wtq accomplished. Done Deal.

If you can wait until mid-March, I will have my EF4 tuned on pump/91 for testing purposes with all the bells and whistles with the MAP 2.4LR.
