haha goofy just pulled off the highway after work to let me drive his car and see if i feel a difference with what im experiencing with my car. I think I just need to get exhaust to lean my car out a little, or im just going crazy. Eitherway, his car is sexy..that exhaust, that drop ::drools:: What are do you live in?
Maybe you guys can help me decide on what to get first:
1. Eibach sport springs
2. Boost gauge and UICP
can't decide..
i think i might just save a bunch of money up and get all my upgrades at once in a month or so. Overnight parts from japan!...damn full throttle has me WIRED

I'm in McKinney, just barely northeast of Frisco actually. Right across the line.
As you may know, goofygrin does a lot of autox and track so if you're interested in that sort of stuff I would say skip the springs and get coilovers. Otherwise springs are ok but you may find you need "better" shocks to handle the increased spring rate. Don't know what the options are for the X yet though...
Goofy's setup kicks butt. I've given it a few runs on the autox and it really is a nice setup with a lot of potential - just add skill.
I would do a turbo-back exhaust before I put one dollar on the intake side. More bang for the buck I'm sure.
Just my uneducated opinions.

i put a cone filter on..thats about it so far haha.
Im not doin autoX..i know he is into that, not me so much..but i do hate how high my car sits. Specially after seeing his
The eibach springs for the evo X are made to work with the stock shocks and drop it enough to make me happy..i dunno what im gonna do..i do really want to get the exhaust..after hearing it last night it sounds so good. lets get a 5k stimulus check going so i can use it on my car and a new flatscreen

Here's my philosophy: if it doesn't increase performance, I am not going to spend money on it.
So... *right now*, gauges don't get any consideration.
exhaust, suspension (springs/coilovers/sways), brakes, UICP, FMIC, tune, tires, short throw shifters, shifter bushings, drivers education all increase performance.
wheels, BOV, LICP, canards, lips, spoilers, lights, gauges, etc. don't.
Obviously when I get tuned (if?) I'll want a boost gauge and likely a wideband gauge to know what's going on (to make sure I no go boom).

For example, putting a 245 tire on a 9" or 9.5" wheel will provide noticable benefits in reducing sidewall roll when compared to a 8" or 8.5" wheel. Also, a lighter wheel will allow better (ie faster) vertical transitions over the road surface due to reduced unspring weight as well as improved acceleration and braking through reduced rotational mass.
So the right wheels can make you faster and handle better. I KNOW you know this otherwise you wouldn't be looking to buy some "ugly" RPF1s now would you?
