The misses hasn't OKed any "racing" yet, so I might just end up being a spectater. We'll see, this is something I would like to get involved in.

Hi Minh!
Wassup Sean. You gonna make it up here for any events this year? Have you done any events with the NEOkla guys? They have a great site at Stroud this year so you might want to try hitting up some of their events also. Great guys up there like Murph that can really drive.

Here's your official loophole then from the SCCA website. Autocross is technically not racing so tell the misses you're just going out to work on your driving ability

Solo Overview
Solo is the SCCA brand name for autocross competition. Solo events are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling characteristics. This is accomplished by driving a course that is designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location, such as a parking lot or inactive airstrip. While speeds are no greater than those normally encountered in legal highway driving, the combination of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience. It is like being in a movie chase scene, only you are holding onto the steering wheel instead of a box of popcorn!

I'd thought about it but with two clubs here I'm simply overwhelmed with stuff going on. Everything seems to conflict.

I'd like to though for sure!

They don't get along? What is there not to get along about? I can't imagine a group of car guys not getting along for no reason.

The weather around here just sucks this time of year. I know rain and destruction is forcasted for Sunday but hopefully it holds off till the evening or hits early and goes away before we hit the course.

If anyone on the southside of OKC is looking for 93 octane, the Shell station off I-44 at SW 104 exit has it at the pump instead of 91. It's about $0.75 over 91 elsewhere though.

What the hell did you do that they don't like you? Those guys are super cool and helpful too. There are a couple Evo owners on there and a bunch of Subaru guys. A lot of Evo owners talk $h!t so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some bad experiences.
