OP there are plenty of shops you could take your car to in houston. If you're new to evo's I suggest reading up as much as you can about the systems and maintenance. You can save a lot of money if you do the minor stuff yourself.
You didn't really mention what you were looking to get done. There are suspension shops and various other mechanics you can take your car to. There are plenty of guys that are fan boys of certain shops just to jump on the bandwagon. If you hear someones testimony do yourself a favor and check out that shops background.
I am a customer of discriminating taste and I know what good business is. Would I reccomend a shop? Yes, but only one in the entire houston area(for evos). SSP is a newer company but that certainly doesn't translate into their experience and professionalism. Eric is always tooling away on his laptop to make sure the customer is happy and David keeps the cutomers coming back on good terms. They stand by their work and will try to do the right thing for the customer.
I would really love to flame on the other businesses in houston that have worked on my car, but that's not in good taste. Be warned if you take your car to any other shop. It may be like their "hooking" you up at other places, but you'll most likely be back there having them do the job twice. Good work's not cheap;cheap work's not good.
New AWD Mustang dyno and tuning guru on site. No dark side of the moon evoscan tunes come out of SSP!
Let's keep this civil, if you're one of the other shops, dont bash me for having an opinion, we're who paid your bills, remember that.
OP if you're still listening, pay attention, and good luck out there.
If anyone is interested in the companies of which I spoke, messege me.
