Moving to Texas, worried about emissions:(

In about 1 year I will be moving to Richardson TX once I'm out of the military. Just found out TX has emissions I no longer have a cat/egr, running aem series 2 with a FF turbo setup and everything else you can think of. Would it be better to just keep the car registered in a state with no emissions? How would I get a new sticker every year if I was to do that? Sorry for all the questions, haven't had to deal with emissions in over 10 years lol

Welcome to TX. As long as you don't have a check engine light, you'll be good to go. They seem to care more about if your horn and lights work than anything.

TX is great!

You are incorrect. You just happen to live in Travis county which is just a safety inspection. Richardson is in Dallas county which is an emissions/safety inspection. You can not have an aftermarket ECU and pass.

Was doing some research on this and found everything you need to know here.
Looks like the city areas have emissions testing n the country side gets just a safety inspection.
