I'm not that familiar with it but a nice meeting spot in the middle would be nice.
i dont think middle meet would be easy, the only thing in the middle really is the overlook of the dam and its usually full with bikes, and besides only around 4 cars max can fit at the overlook when it is empty which is seldom.

Better take advantage of this nice weather..... In March you could end up in a snowstorm......

hehe... we were actually thinking of going this January but the weather was precisely why we thought about going March! Is there still snow in March?

Anybody up for a very early Sat drive up from Atlanta area? The traffic gets heavy las the day progresses and it's not fun to follow slow cars/trucks in the mountains.... I don't care if it rains a bit, I have my allweather tires on

For the Atlanta crowd, we may just leave really early like 7am instead of 12pm.

So, I'll let everyone know about the meeting. We're just going to meet, say hi, pass out maps and just drive up there.

So don't expect anything of a meeting.

starbucks is still the location we'll meet.

Oh yeah, Starbucks of course there can't be more than one of those in Atlanta How about an address? I've gotten coffee in at least 4 different starbucks between bells ferry road and a little past I-75 on that Barrett Pkwy/Piedmont road...........

Actually if you guys want to know about weather in this area, it is raining currently here, but temps have been very very nice in the high 60's. Almost like a spring evening. You guys better take advantage while possible. I say it will turn off cold in the next week or so. It already snowed alittle bit close to Christmas.

ok anyways, back to the meet. so whats the vote on the meeting place, the end or the beginning seeing how the middle out cause it's not big enough??

and i believe the starbucks that plokivos is referring to is the one on barrett in the strip plaza with the Italian restaurant and David’s Bridal.

I want to be North of Marietta by 7:30. This way maybe I'll be at the Gap by 10 am. or 10:30 max. There is a Starbucks next to the Honeyham store accross the road from where Costco and Galyans are.... Is that the Starbucks we are talking about? If I had a street address I can find it easy enough......
There's another one near a Publix and next to a Barnes & Noble across a QT gas station, but I don't think that's the one..... The other one I know is in the mall and a fourth one is somewhere in the same side of the road as the Costo or the Carmax...... How about meeting somewhere else where there is only one possible location?

lol that's the curse of having 4 starbucks in one strip of road. lol

ok, to ease the confusion, it's not the starbucks in the mall or the one in the barnes and nobles.

It's the one right across the Shell station on Barrette parkway, next to the "mall blvd"

it's the one with a big parking lot, next to kinkos and honeyham and that italian restraurant.

So that's where we will meet.

But to make it easier, we will meet at the KINKOS on Barrette parkway. There is only one kinkos in Barrette parkway next to the David's Bridal.

The time will be at 8 am and this is official.

We will leave briefly after 8:30am and will be taking the 575north all the way up.

Can't wait.

also the meeting in the middle, we'll manage something as we're there.

pm me with your phone numbers so we could keep in contact, if you're not bringing your radio (walky talky) the station is channel 6.
