Jestr tuning or Turbotrix?

I called Titan Motorsports and Racing Zone looking for cams and a fuel pump and I mentioned I needed them before July when Turbotrix comes down. Both mentioned Jestr Tuning. Has anyone had personal experience from Jestr's flash? I'm thinking about going to him bc he is down here, and they said he offers update flashes so if u add stuff u can keep your ECU updated too.

I got my ECU flashed by TT and it is great. My car has never run so good. Its just TT is in Jersey and I'd have to wait for them to come down here to keep my EVO ECU updated if I add something. I can't take it out and mail it to them bc it my only car. Really convenience is a issue. Also I wonder if Jestr's flash is as good as TT. We all know TT knows what they are doing (fastest EVO in US)

So do u think I should go to Turbotrix or Jestr? (for those who have experience with Jestr)

I have tried 2 other flashes before, and now I only let John at Jestr touch my car. One of the flashes I had way back wound up too lean.

I initially went to John because he is well known in the dsm scene and I am a dsm'er turned evo driver. Also, I knew about his subscription service. John may be different from the other tuners in that he does not recycle images until he hits a higher HP number on the dyno. Instead, he tweaks the number himself, and taylor fits for what you are looking for. For my car, I dont drag race or worry about how good my car looks on the dyno. I like to have useable street power. For this John gave me full spool by 3000 rpm, and most of my torque down lower.

Everytime I change something on my car, I call him up and make an appointment to optimize. As for the dyno, my a/f's are perfect, so I would never need an AFC.

One last thing to keep in mind is that John is a computer engineer. He knows programming, assembly, hardware...the whole lot.

If you happen to choose his flash you wont regret it.

heard good thing about jestr tuning. Especially their flash, it's suppose to be the best. No room for improvement once it's flashed.

After having trouble with a previous tuner, I went to Jestr to have my car done over. From my pr4evious flas with no other changes I dropped 4/10ths off my quarter mile time. THe man's work and attention to detail is impeccable, he takes the time to explain what he's doing, and he is a very good guy. Since that first time, I have had probrably a dozen reflashes with every addition to my car. The last time was on a dyno, we made 310 to the wheels as the clutch was slipping. This was done at aerocomp when the dyno was known to be reading very low due to a software issue. I stand behind his work 100% and would not trust my car to anyone else. I have over 60 timeslips at the track sometimes at upwards of 24 psi on pumpgas at the track, against his advice of course, and have not hints of knock or detonation, and not a lick of trouble. The car is tuned extremely well. WWW.JESTRTUNING.COM, you won't be disappointed.

I'd definately go with John for the flash. I was about to have him do my car until I used my FEMA money for an AEM (thanks Jeb!), now I can only say great things about him.

Jestr is awesome and you will not be dissappointed. Before I went stand alone he flashed my ecu and he takes his time and will make people happy. Your car will scream after the Jestr flash.

John is def a good guy. My best e.t. and mph was after his flash. I was previously only using a SAFC. He also fixed my idle problem after installing the HKS intake.

Damn, u guys have sold me! I'm glad I posted this. U r right, I just talked to John and he seems very knowledgable. As soon as I get my cams and pump in I'm going to see him.

Now I only need to decide to get 264 or 272 cams.

If you have a sportbike, don't let him ride it either.

On a side note, you will hear many people on this board talk about the inability for 280 cams to idle properly with the stock ECU. Well, I have them and John has the flash for these as well, I have no issues with stalling, the idle is rock steady at 900 rpms, and I have an insane top end. Open highways the car really shines. Another option to consider, as I know alot of people with 272 already looking to switch to 280s. You may lose some of your bottom end, though. Not much, but it is noticeable. I was able to correct it with the cam gears, but decided I liked the top end better and set them that way.

Hey guys just wanted to give an update.

John hooked my Turbotrix flashed evo up to a datalogger and the tune was way to aggressive. In 2nd gear it was to lean. As a result my engine was throwing a misfire.

So I'm not going to let Turbotrix touch my evo again. I'm having John flash it after I get my HKS 272 cams and pump in this coming weekend.

Just for the record ,,, Mitsu didnt come out with a Flash fix for the missfire code because evo's were tuned too aggressive. There is no way to read a flash or what code i put in and how " aggressive " someone would say i tuned it. IF you chose another tuner thats fine .. but to say the car is tuned to aggressive to result random misfire code is not true
