South Florida Evos!
Hi guys, I'm located in Boca Raton and would like to meet other fellow Evo owners. Call me if you guys want to meet up. My name is Ben and my number is (561) 445-4382.
2003 Apex Silver Evo
Mods:
HKS HiPower Exhaust
HKS Racing Suction Kit
HKS EVC 5
HKS Turbo Timer Type 1
Vishnu XEDE with Stage 1 map
On Order:
HKS SSQV BOV
HKS Downpipe
My car did a 13.38 on Moroso Speedway with the above mods. Call me if you guys want to meet up, or if you guys need help in installation. I installed my own boost controller, racing suction kit, XEDE. I also have a computer in my garage that I use to change XEDE maps, just something I play around with, plus lots of tools needed to do installs.

As for being slow, my evo was the fastest car in the street car category that night, beating a aston martin vanquish which pulled a 13.6, a turbo 3.0 V6 eclipse which did 13.9 and a turbo SVT focus which pulled a 13.8. I wouldnt consider it that bad, plus the fact that I dont have my downpipe yet which doesnt qualify my car to have a full turbo back exhaust. Anyways i think i can do better next time
real life drag racing is somewhat different from what you read in magazines

Well you most of read my post wrong because obviously you seem to be pissed. I wasnt saying it was slow, because I have an Evo and I wouldnt call it slow. I thought you was running 13.38 with all the mods you listed. But i guess not. So sorry if you read my post wrong. 13.38 is good for the Evo being stock. Now go back to Moroso and tell us what your doing with the mods.
Do you have any pics of the HKS exhaust? How does the HKS Racing Suction kit work? Sorry if I was being an *** in the 1st paragraph maybe I read your post wrong.

O ok
I hope to meet you soon also. Maybe we can hook up our cars together. How does the HKS exhaust fit? Is it too long or too short? Where did you get it from and how much was it?

HKS Exhaust
Hi Jovani,
909 is actually my cousin Kelvin from NY who was just here a couple days ago. The car he's talking about is actually my car. While he was here, we actually did some installs together.
Anyway, the HKS Hi Power exhaust is a little short as it was made for the evo 7. I got it from Dynamic Turbo in Miami for $550. You can call me if you want to see how it looks installed.

Please don't run an intake of any sort with our XEDE. As stated on our website's XEDE page (http://www.vishnutuning.com/xede_evo.htm) at the bottom. All the XEDE maps, as stated, were designed for use with the factory intake filter and box. Any aftermarket intake "upgrade" (especially foam intakes) will induce severe MAF misreadings which will induce unwanted fuel and timing changes. This will untune your tuned XEDE map. The only way to keep your intake mod is to custom tune the XEDE map yourself on a dyno.

Hey Shiv
You said "Any aftermarket intake "upgrade" (especially foam intakes) will induce severe MAF misreadings which will induce unwanted fuel and timing changes. This will untune your tuned XEDE map."
My question is will a aftermarket intake harm the car in anyway besides untuning the exede map?
