Eric, I just text you, but just in case you didn't get it, I have a paintball game setup with a huge group, but will call you at our lunch break. FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY i find this thread... wow im late. Well finally i know some people. This is joe the tall guy with the RR evo8. Its cool that we got out own thread in here. Ernie i will definately hit you up, i might not make it to the paintball event but i def do want to chill with the group for dinner or wutever. And i will most def be there for the drag EVO, i dont know if i want to bring mine though... dont want to embarrass myself..lol. My car is running great now it just needs a tune, got my headstuds and headgasket in. battery relocation and ams piping. It should do awesome since this is the first time tuning on the new turbo. ill call you tomorrow

 

Ernie, if that AMS drag EVO shows up anywhere give me a call. I might have to come out of the wood work for that one...

 

I'm going to be a bit delayed. I was supposed to leave tonight but we had some bugs to work out with the car on the dyno. We're gonna re-dyno it in the morning and hopefully I'll be heading out about 1pm central time. I'm gonna hammer down south bound and try to get into Jax sometime on Sunday, hopefully early.

 

you'd better bring yours, unless a miracle happens I can't bring mine.

 

hopefully that miracle will happen today...... i have all the time in the world those stuck bolts just have to come out first, thats the only thing keeping you from gettin in the 11s right now, two rusted bolts and a tune.

Spoke with Eric earlier he was buttoning things up on (THE AMS RACE CAR) He will be down Sunday 2 Dec. Morning timeish. He may be going to Orlando to the Battle of the Imports to race he is still undecided. He has a long drive from there to here then to O-town to race. So with that said.
He should be staying at my house Sunday and Monday night (hahahaha don't be jealous) Then at Chad's (UndrPSI) house in O-town Tuesday night for PRI at the end of the week. Anything can change tho. He told me it was snowing there at 10am this morning.

To see the car it may be at my house or close by, weatside by old skool Kmart hangout and Automotive engineering. Don't want everyone to know where I have the secret Evo/Dsm shop and (AMS race car hidding for two days)

I may come out tonight and hangout.

he has cams, evo IX turbo, most of the bolt-ons, etc. Untuned so far.


I have the buschur stage 1 and will have the o2 housing, turboxs FMIC, and nisei LICP once we get these bolts out. stock head still.

 

My stock head bolts are still holding; 32psi. What bolts are stuck? Hopefully they don't break on you.

 

its not his headbolts that are stuck, its the bolts that bolt the manifold to the turbo. i have fuel pump, 272 hks cams, cam gears, timing belt, perrin front mount, ebay 02 & DP, Straight pipe exhaust, homemade 3' intake, Evo9 turbo, ams upper IC pipe, ETS Lower IC pipe, arp headstuds, im rocking the old tune from my smaller 16g but it def needs a retune. and the throttle position sensor took a crap on me so it cant be tuned now. But it should ride out when it does get tuned.

 

I had the same problem with those bolts awhile back. I ended up snapping 2 of the bolts off and having to buy a new hotside.
