eeeewwwww bad news about the cams being all messed up man...... i wouldent be driving on that thing. You could be a tooth off on the on the cam gears. is there any ticking?? if you didnt bleed the lifters when you put them back in, and you hear a ticking noise, one of them could be stuck. Or one of the more common problems: you might have the cam position sensors incorrectly installed. I just hope its the cam position sensors and not the timing cuz depending on what position the engine is in, you may have some bent valves... when you started your engine did you hear a loud clank noise? did you zip tie the belt to the cam gears when you did the install. No matter what the reason is, if ron or anyone else decides to do it, they will have to take the entire thing back apart.... its the only way the cam position sensors can be removed... im leaning towards the cam position sensors. good luck man..

Hey Ron, when are we gona get to see the AMS evo and where

What cams did you go with, and which driver are you? There's so many EVO pilots in the area it's hard remembering which screenname's is which. Anyhow, I agree with everyone in that Ron and Scott(TTP) would be good friends to talk to when troubleshooting cams on the IX's.

Looks like we're all waiting for Eric to arrive, but just remember fellas, it's looking like he's not going to be pulling in until late tonight. I'd probably want to crash after driving all the way from Illinois and working on the EVO all hours of the night. Hopefully Eric has enough energy to enteratain the Florida boys even for just a few minutes, as he's finally coming home after what seems like forever.

Oh hey DJ! I haven't seen you in forever, but I'll let Ron know you're looking for him.

p.s.
This thread is so Off-Topic...I'll make another one dedicated to the actual DSM/EVO Meet in 2008.

We have decided to hangout and have the car up at the K-Mart off 103rd and Blanding by Automotive Engineering between 6 and 8pm TONIGHT.

Don't forget to bring a camera if you want to do a photoshoot of the car and the AMS EVO model.
