Hey guys, Kinda new here. Local from J-ville of 22 years. workin on buyin an evo but right now am stuck in afghanistan until feb for r&r and then for good in june. Luckily time is flyin by. its funny though i may not have the car but i already got a budget and a assload of parts and part numbers ready to be ordered when i get home. Any tips and stuff for tuning an Evo for daily driver/ time attack ( light track duty really) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, oh yea and if you cant tell my name is Brian. thanks

Yea, sall good though, im mixed in with all sorts or military folks over here. Im stuck in Bagram air base, which is better than some places but boring as hell. but ne ways, maybe ill meet ya here.normally almost all troops stop through bagram at one point in time as soon as they leave Manas. So yea one question though, do you know anyone that might be able to help me set up my coilovers when i get home, im running 18x 8.5 in gram lights and want to know the best set-up for daily driver/ track attack car. n e help you could give would be great

For suspension work you may want to talk to the Fayetteville guys. I believe a lot of them do the aftermarket suspensions. E VOL IX would probably be the best person to talk to or crewdawg.

Thanks. i was just wonderin about set-up issues i might run into. and ride height suggestions. nothin major. livin in jacksonville i really dont wanna have to drive to fayetteville to get n e help if i need it lol. no offense to those guys, but im very capable at doing most of the work i need done for R&R in my drive way. As stated in my profile ive been workin on cars for several years. If any of you have been around jacksonville for a while you might have seen my old car, which may seem a bit retarded but it was actually pretty nasty around the turns, it was a silver Ford escort zx2. lol yea yea laugh now but lemme tell you there were alot of feelings hurt on old 30 and gregory fork road by that car. well n e ways enough rambling. thanks alicea for the tip on who to talk to about suspension. and good luck in afghanistan, when are you looking to leave out of NC? i might still be here when you come through

My wife had the laptop at work and the last time I did a log the car was acting weird. Hestitation after full boost, backfire/misfire, so I had to back off it. I changed the spark plugs yesterday since they have been in for almost 20,000 miles and will try to log it today. Rain sucks.

I haven't pulled a log of 4th yet. The car is back to idling super rich again though. Like 11.2 at idle. I don't understand that...but everything else is fine. No probs. I'll try to get you a log asap..

seriously. I think that was the ONLY time it was idling right. Sometimes it's really rough, others it will idle at 12.0 and be just ok at idle. I could see it acting up after beating on it, but it's just cruising around.
