Bob,
I think you should get methanol injection. Your car will be like and then she will be like .

I used the castrol syntorq, mil.spec was nice enough to send me another batch, thinking the first didn't mix well with the oem fluid. I let it drain for a while, he thought maybe it wasn't enough.

I was reading a recent post on amsoil. I may go that route with the new trans/clutch. I'll probably always run oem in the t-case though.

anyone know/have the mitsu service manual? Or even a chiltons? When the trans/clutch comes out, i'm gonna rip off the head, do the timing belt, springs/ret, and headstuds.

I'm having a crappy time trying to find a good one online. I guess ebay for a service manual right?

cool.

Well, just found out some not so good news. I was un-aware that you can't rebuild the 6 speed. I talked to shep trans, and basically I have to do a 5 speed conversion. And since they can't use the 6 speed core it's pushing $4k!!! Umm I'm thinking the track isn't that important anymore.I really don't want to ditch the 5 speed. I bought the MR for that reason. He said I'd prob. like it better after the rebuild/conversion but it's a little crazy for me. I have to modify trans mounts, shifter cables, all the stuff in the center console. blahhhhhh

I was going to start looking around for a 5 speed core in a junkyard. That would be sweet if you have a core. The "adapter" kit is around $400 from shep. It kinda stinks switching an MR over to a 5 speed just to take to the track.

unless you are plannin on road coursing... then who cares. You can also have them stick in that 5th gear cruising gear so you will have your "6th" back.

did you talk to buschur and/or TRE ?

I called shep trans. I'd like to find someone that does the 6 speed. I just want that damn evo 8 4th gear!

Well, if you know who does the 6 speeds, let me know. I'll deff explore that as an option. Otherwise, I'll have to decide wether or not to go the 5 speed route. I'm just thinking long term, in that getting rid of an MR with a 5 speed speaks shadiness! lol

Just called buschur, no go on re-building a 6 speed. TRE doesn't advertise any upgrade other than a performance rebuild. shazbot...i'm in a catch 22
