Justin, I'm gonna follow the evomoto write up as close as possible. The good news is the car can sit as long as necessary. I just need to acquire some tools like a slide hammer ant t-case fluid.

well. I called around. Wilmington shop wants $640, local shop will do it for $450 this wed. done same day. I absolutely hate the idea of paying someone to do it.

I went to the garage and eyeballed things. after reading evomoto it all makes sense. My only concern is that I only have 1 jack. If i'm using it to hold up the engine, I don't have one to help get the trans out, and to re-align it going back in. Is it truly one of those thing that's worth $$$ someone to do it? Is it bc it's a total pain in the a**?

yes total... TOTAL pain.. i never do them alone ( always recruit a friend that works with me to help) we always have a screw jack under the oil pan and a trans jack under the tranny... you aint gonna pull it out by yourself either.. always have to use a big pry bar to get the diff to clear the cross member/cradle/... if u REALLY insist on doing it urself u better have 2 people helping you.

hmm. I can score a screw jack for the oil pan. Once the car is on stands, I'll have the jack to use for the trans. Damn it jim...what to do...hahaha I've got prybars. Only thing I need is a pull hammer. You have one that's rigged to pull the output shaft? I was thinking a bolt with a large couple of washers on it and using the claws on the pull hammer to get it out. You have something you made up to do it?
