Yesterday, after my car got down there on the flatbed, the manager called me (who I've been dealing with) and told me the car wont' be ready till FRI. Basically, he thanked me for being so persistent about the fluids because the "master tech" at mitsu down there told them that the royal purple was OK to use in both trans/tcase. Which it is...in an EVO 8. NOT A 9.

Long story short, the mgr couldn't get the fluid down there, had to drive up to J-ville, then back down to get the oem fluids. Was telling me how $$$$ it is. (which we all know) But again thanked me bc he said it coulda cost them some serious $$ if the tcase blew.

Nice. Well, I get to pick her up today. I'm good with that shop since they've gone outta their way to make things good. Just wish they would have done that from the start.

These CEL's are going to **** me off tho...I have to figure them out now.

theyre not. When the flatbed came to pick up the car. I pulled it out and just let it idle to see how the idle was doing, and they both came back.

Justin, My girl is going back to Michigan to finish out her masters over xmas. When I get back, I'm making the drive up your way to get these springs/ret and head studs in.

The fail crew doesn't even fail as bad as some shops...lol

Got the car back. Everything is FINE!! New oem fluids. Everything feels smooth. I can't believe how bad it felt with the royal purple stuff in there. they cleared the cel's and they haven't come back.

I'm gonna stay away from the meth for a bit...After getting studs/springs/ret in I want to up the boost to 28psi. CB said that with this turbo, he seen the best all around response and gains at that level. It seems high without meth on 93..but i'm sure with the right tune it would be ok. I've got all other supporting mods...any thoughts?

i got one.... i dont give a **** if god himself tells you to do it... you run 28psi on pump gas and a factory bottom end... you are insane... INSANE...you can run 28psi if you want.. but you arent gonna have ANY kind of timing cause it will detonate,.... you dont need alot of boost to make power hommie..

remember this... TIMING=power

You running meth? Which kit? We installed ben's labonte kit. It was decent. Pretty simple. The ttp kit looks simple, but I think add on fail safe's are extra..
