P0142 bank 1 o2 sensor no activity. that's the second code for that one. I'm gonna grab a universal o2 and splice it in.

Andrew...the thing is, you have to pull your head to replace the valves. By the time you do ALL of that paying for labor, you are going to be up there in $$$. I know it's not gonna cost 1600, but figure 80/hr labor at National Speed....Why are you replacing the valves anyhow? bc of the compression test you did a couple weeks ago?
To tell you the truth, the valves were a spur the moment buy. But I get them for a good price. I was just going to hold on to the parts until I decide on what to do with them. Weather it be built head or not. I'm still getting the Kelfords so that takes care of the springs and retainers. I'll probably just hold off on the cam install until I figure out what I want to do to the motor.

I'm also fixin' to buy an intake manifold for 'bout $100. I'll send that into DB and get it ported (and maybe coated), then I'll get his 65mm TB to replace mine.

Well if Bobby builds the bottom end, whats going to happen to the head, granted I install the Kelfords and BC's.

I would use justin's car as an example. Tons of power, and I don't believe he's built the bottom end. I don't think he changed the valves either. I can't imagine how you would DD a car that's that built. You plan on going standalone right? The car runs like complete p**s with a stock ecu. Infact, I think it was Subydudes car they fully built, and it wouldn't even start with the stock ecu

I'd throw the kelfords in, do springs/rets, slap some meth on, tune it and enjoy 400 awhp and reliability.

You think it's okay to assume the Red will yield close to 500 awhp with meth, kelfords, ported ext and int mani, and 65mm tb. Cuz that was my overall idea if I'm not talked into getting a built bottom end or head.

I would say Definitely! The red moves some air. 60 lbs/min. It likes 25+ psi so that would be a perfect setup for meth. I don't know if you have arp headstuds, but that would be a must for higher boost.

head studs hold on the head, main studs are for the bottom end, and rod bolts are for the connecting rods to the crankshaft. You only need headstuds. Go ARP. maybe 90 bucks shipped

Still idling like dog sh*t. But open her up and she rips. I got on it today, and about laughed the whole way home at the amount of smoke from the open dump...I got my gauges in the apillar and they're sweet.

not any good ones. I'm patting myself on the install though. The gauge pod overlay looks stock bc I painted the pillar flat black to match. And, the LED backlighting wash out my camera...you'll see them sometime! :-)
