MERRY X-MAS TO ALL OF THE FAIL CREW...

for the record bob, i would look into a blow-thru set-up for your car till you get fully built or something. I dont think ANYONE should go stand-alone till you are trying to go over 600hp or have a FULLY "FULLY" built car

sounds good. I was thinking the same. I'm web shopping for meth kits right now. Looking at the AEM kit, SNOW...there's a ton of those things but most look the same. The pumps all look the same, the control modules all look the same. If the da*n thing works...then I'm good with it. I'll make it look good. :-)

Merry Christmas!!!

Didn't I tell you about that hose!?! That was my first thought. Glad you found that out though. I didn't think it was from anything else, and glad it wasn't from anything worse.

As much as I'd like to say congrats on the X purchase...I don't think I'd take one YET if it was given to me. TOO many problems. Factory reflashes, clutches going out in 300 miles, AYC lights flashing for no reasons, and the car going into limp mode because it feels like it. Ehh..no thanks.

One more time before the "classifieds"

Anyone local interested in a ETS Lower Intercooler Pipe? It's black. You will need the coupler for the turbo...I sold the one I had. Let me know. I'll post it in the classifieds on here the 2nd week of JAN if I don't hear anything...

jason, justin...I'm thinking about swain coating my manifold and o2 housing...thoughts? I was gonna heat wrap it, but if it's not done right it looks ghetto as h*ll. Let me know what you guys think. After the holiday craziness, i'm ripping everything apart. Whole turbo setup is coming off. Sending off the mani to Jesse for the egt bung to get welded on 100% right. And prob gonna have him swain coat it, and the 02 housing. Also going to be doing the headstuds, springs/retainers. Once the valve cover is back on, I'm going to rip off the intake mani/tb for a port job.

coating waste of time... u can buy the paint and a airbrush yourself and do it... carlos did his full-race mani and DP on his acura himself and it looks amazing. cost him about 40 bucks. An you dont need to send that mani off to have a egt welded in. myself or bobby can do it no problem, i welded mine in.

sorry, everybody has their own preference, i personally think that whole ported/coated mani, tb, housing bla bla bla is a waste of time and money not worth the gain.

What kind of coating did he do? Where did he get it? I love the look of the tubular manifold, but if it's not polished it drives me crazy. Mostly though is the heat. I don't think it gets hot enough to affect the intake air temp, but just the overall radiant heat to the valve cover and all other components. My o2 housing is 1/4" from the ac pump. I don't want that thing to bake the insides.

The only thing with the egt is I know he goes great lengths to ensure strong welds. I don't want some wack job who just learned to weld to try to weld a bung on and jeopardize the strength. and..you know me. If it looks like a@@ i'll be pissed.

haha damn, that's a good one! You think tapping stainless? Does tapping jeopardize the stength over welding? I just got a brand new tap set at work...
