Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville Evos
#2972
What's up to all of the J-vegas crew. Just passed my halfway point in this deployment and it can't end soon enough. I lost two guys last month, not much fun. March Madness is approaching here so it is getting ready to get really exciting for us, not in a good way. Let me know how the sleds do at the dyno and I look forward to getting back and doing some wrenching and driving. Talk at you later.

Anyone near the Hubert (with some Evo experience) willing to help put an Evo back together for some cash??
I bought the 8 back in September. It's still not finished. It's been sitting at ECP or Autoworks for a while now. I have ALL the parts for it, but ECP hasn't touched it (even though they were supposed to). SO I said screw it and I'm having it towed back here tomorrow and putting it back together myself so I can finally have it painted and finished. Hopefully I will get all the parts back for it because there were a BUNCH of parts that went with the car and have been sitting at ECP for a while.
So if anyone has some free time and wants to earn some extra cash let me know.

I'm not making the meet..sorry.
Luke, those codes should all be able to be cleared by any obdii reader. Those are some wack codes. All present after the oil change??? Did they "test drive" it after they did the alignment?
SRTRaceR04...hit me up. I'm usually always down to bolt some things up. What kind of thing does ecp have that you were waiting on getting installed? Which car is yours. I live like 5 minutes from there.

well you know i have had the cel before, i just never had them checked, always just cleared, so i dont know whats new and whats not, are fixable through tune, or do i need to go back to the dealer.

usually, when you flash the car, the codes disappear. If you've got the time, swing by one of the auto parts places and see if their code reader will clear them. I'd hate for you to go to the dealer and they try to start voiding your tranny warranty because you got new floor mats...lol

lol, yeah new floor mats for the win,lol they did clear the codes, so if i were to go get it read again would they pull the same codes or would they not find anything, cuz i need to go get my emissions done iand i dont wanna pay to not get the sticker to do it again

If they cleared the codes, they are gone. Unless your car is trying to throw a code again, it could be in the system as "pending" and once it senses another sensor failure or whatever is triggering the check engine light, only then will it actually light up the dash light. I think you'll be fine if you got them cleared.

blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...OK. I am officially loosing my f****** mind with this intake problem. ETS was nice enough to send me a 6" coupler to move the MAF further away from the comp wheel to rule out any turbulence. It did absolutely NOTHING. Same sh*tty f-ing idle, only 8-10" of vacuum. If you just tap the gas pedal it trys to stall. WTF is up with this thing??!?!?!?! I'm going to start exploring different intakes, problem is...I don't have them. Seems crazy to buy 10 intake setups to figure this b**** out, but if that's what it's going to take... HELP!?!?

well my thing is a 3" pipe is a 3" pipe. It doesn't matter who makes it. I can make one out of PVC pipe and attach the maf and filter. It has something to do with the MAF. I'm convinced of it. I'm in touch with 4ws tuning. He's gonna try to lend a hand.

Remember I have CAAT platoon not SSP. I've read about how dead Iraq is. Sucks but if you stick around you will definitely be going to Asskrackistan. These guys are a bunch of cameltoes because all they do is lay IED's.

New news...ets is apparently prototyping a new intake. Not sure if it's overall new or what, but either way they are sending me one to try out to see if we can get the car to idle. I'm open to trying anything at this point. The stock tube isn't cutting it anymore...haha
