you should really have Bobby and the fail crew in Fayetteville do your build! After my clutch install issue w/ national speed, I wouldn't let them do anything to your car. Or a better known shop. If you're dishing out all this $$ for these parts, whats another couple hundred to have a well known shop build it for you.

Luke, I called ams. They confirmed that they do NOT make an intake for the 8 or 9's. I didn't think they did. I never seen one. They said the stock pipe yields more power than some after market ones w/ a k&n filter on it. I'm still waiting on ETS for the Ver. 2 intake, but rocking the stock pipe for now.

I'd love to have the fail crew so this shiz for me. I also rather have a well known shop touch my car vice "saving" money and have ECP to the work. Unless you think you can do the head, t/b, i/m, and e/m install. I'll just have to get a quick fix flash from Ric to hold me till I get a tune. I also have PTE 1200cc injectors I bought cuz I do plan on going fast and running high boost. I still need to get double pumpers though.

I'm having a well known transmissions shop in Knoxville install the clutch along with replacing the drive train fluid that I already bought from Russle @ mitsu parts. So I can get a good re tune @ National Speed again.

man thats crazy that AMS didnt make an intake for the 8's and 9's, but hey if I had to rock the stock cuz it worked, and proved better realiabilty, then i would, hopefully ETS gets thier shiet together and gets you that new intake their building. Bob, Im also ordering my downpipe and testpipe on the 14th Apr, just waiting on the dual tip to be released!

They made an intake if you bought a turbo setup from them.... however you could make the same intake from parts at pep boys for $80 and it would look a little better.

Quick question..not really a noob, but I havent had to deal with emissions testing till now.

So im planning on going the Test pipe route..So im thinking this wont pass testing right? car is due for inspection when I get back..

So will test pipe + tune pass emissions or no

or my second option is to get smogged then put the test pipe in...

you will NOT pass any emissions test with a test pipe on. Just leave your cat on for the test, drive conservitively, and then take it off. I have to put Ben's back on for him so his will pass. Depending on how big of a d*uche the person is, they can not pass you for an intake too.

btw...in your quest of picking up parts..I've still got my ETS licp sitting in my garage! If you don't have one already I'll hook you up for a good $$. It's gloss black.

Oh snaps!! haha.. Yeah justin, still having HORRIBLE idle issues. Unfortunately the guys at AFI haven't returned a single PM or phone call??? I even spoke with one of the guys out there and didn't get a call back. I'm rocking the stock intake tube!!?? wtf
The guy out our way with the Red 8 is in afghanistan now, and is going to be doing some serious work...built motor, head, basically everything. I suggested he look your guys way for the install, so we'll see if he contacts you guys.
