Autocross at Cherry Point June 13 -14

 

yeah from what they've been telling us at the other auto-x's, this one is going to be on a pretty big piece of the flightline

 

Same one where they do the Keith Code (or whatever his name is) motorcyle driving course...

I may bring the car out, (thinking about it) but its not an autocross car, TA car ...but just want a chance to rip up the runway...but dont want to tear anything up before HIN in 2 weeks

 

So Bob and Ben what's up with this BBK setup? Where can I get some info?

 

So I think before the end of June I'm going to hit up National Speed and do a tune and dyno. Anybody down to hit it up too?

Right there Kevin! There's 2 versions, lite, and full. The full ports the hotside as well. I think the shipping turnaround from ordering is only a week! ;-)

 

You're not letting them do your tune right?!? I would highly suggest you not. I saw a map of one of the local guys here, and they set both his high octane and low octane maps to the "high" octane map. If his car ever had a mechanical problem, or pipe blow off, the car had nothing to revert to, to protect the engine. A big no, no.

 

woo hoo!!! TRE is planning on an upgraded gearset for the 6 speeds! around 1500 bucks...but it'll be awesome to have a bullet proof trans!

 

What are the changes for your tranny?

 

shot peening all parts, machining more oil passages for cooling efficiency, beefing up all seals. I don't know if they can fit the Evo 8 4th in there still though. If they offer that, I'm sold.

 

You think they are incompetent of doing a SAFC tune? If so oh well I'll have a friend of mine tune her and then throw it on the dyno.

 

Just finished my drive with the Snyapse Synchronic installed. That thing ain't no joke, barely let off the gas that thing recirculates with the quickness.

Looks like a stock turbo, no way to tell by looking at it when it is hooked up unless my intake isn't on and then you can see the blue blades.
