Mike, You better be careful copying phrases such as "got evo" from Got milk commercials. I'd bet they have it trademarked. Also...whoever took that picture of the engine. Just gotta watch out for people with copyright/trademark rights. You don't want to deal with that.

Luke...I fully expect to capture a picture just like this one of you rounding the main gate...when/if you ever get your car back.

I went to see if by the grace of god my car was done even though i hadnt heard anything from mitsu yet, and after an engine rebuild including a brand new block, a machined head and other oem parts that were destroyed in the engine all being replaced, cylinder 3 still has no compression, and thats the cylinder that said F**K the world and made me crap my pants that day. The mechanic asked why I changed the spark plugs and I told him that one of them had blown, and it wasnt the cylinder 3 one, and he is just clueless as too why after the rebuild theres no compression there, i am now highly frustrated and losing my mind!

And he calls himself a mechanic? Not that I could do better but come on. Absolutely no compression in a cylinder must be a huge problem that has been seen before, at least by an experienced mechanic or engine builder.

^ I agree
I'm no expert, but I would assume that the mechanic is taking a physical compression test so that would have nothing to do with the ECU.
I feel your pain though. I bought my Evo 8 September 2008 thinking it would be complete by November at the latest. Here we are in August 2009 and it's nowhere near done!! Mine is getting sold as soon as it's complete though. I'll buy another Evo that's not so troublesome!!
