Don't know what is up with my car but have a rattling sound coming from tranny, ACD area. Can't really tell since I have to be driving to hear it. Happened yesterday as I left Petsmart, driving like an old lady. Rattle sounded like a flat tire at first. Really loud when decelerating.

No, drive it like a grandma 99% of the time. Haven't been to the dragstrip in a while and that is the only time I launch. By the way I still want the brake pads and lines.

 

Looks like tranny is shot. Took it to dealership and they put it on the lift and could hear it. They told me to try changing fluid just to make sure it wasn't that. Took out drain plug and it had two pieces of metal, a lot bigger than the fur u usually see on it. This absolutely blows.

OEM or TRE/Shep?

 

All depends on what it is wrong when they gut it. They just called me and told me it is definitely tranny but they also did not split her open like they should in order to diagnose it.

 

so i got a call that said Brett (Mechanic) went to rip the motor back apart last sat. and before he did..he did another compression test and noticed that the valves didnt close and thats why theres a leak in cylinder three, so Mitsu said they were sending the head back to the shop to make sure it was good, and the had to get some specs from all the new internals and get them to line up properly with the existing head, if that doesnt work, then its a new head from mitsu ( which I asked them to do in the first place when they couldnt figure it out) and if that stilld oesnt fix it, then they said its an 2010 for me!
