Yeah I had an uncle that was stationed here in the mid 80 and Jacksonville was non-existant compared to now from what he has said and the pics I have seen...

 

Bob you just don't know. I was here from 93-97 and this place has done some serious growing up. I enjoy it here now before it was dead as all hell.

I've been here for bout that long as well and have to say that this place has gotten better. If you thin this place is bad, go spend some time down in Parris Island. Those marines have nothing, and I mean nothing! Makes this place look like Vegas.

Met up with another guy from Cherry Point today with a silver MR. Said he was going to come out on wednesday. So if the weather holds out do it. I however will not be there, as I will be going up to Delware for a week.

i need to FINALLY get that LICP and boost controller on so im not a big bucket of FAIL...i may try doing it tomorrow, just depends on how much patience i have for the hobby shop...

weather is supposed to be decent next week, lets hope it holds up. A buddy of mine with an 07 stg 2 STi will be joining us pretty often now that hes back here...

 

I left Jville about three years ago. Its nothing but a big sausage fest down there. And the chicks that are there were either brought there or left there. Horrible ****ing place with absolutely nothing to do other than go to the track. I do have to say tho... that per capita, I have never been in a town with faster cars. When I was there... there were a few low 11 second Honda's a couple 10 second Honda's and some nasty *** domestics..... Then you take the drive over to Wilmington on Wednesday night and it gets even better. TONs of fast cars(DSM's especailly). Then... there has always been a Supra in that neighborhood that was down right DUMB fast.

For yall that have been there for awhile... do you remember a modded gold- bronzish Grand Prix GTP that use to be around there?

I've lived here my whole life then I joined the Marine Corps and I get stationed in New River Air Station. I vaguelly remember J-ville in the early 90's, all I can really remember is Western Blv. being nothing but trees and there was no extension. From the Henderson extension to Wall-Mart (before it was a Super Wall-Mart) was just woods. Western extension is going to be full soon too.

IMO this place needs a bigger and better mall and an I-max theater. I'm just getting started...lol.
