Hey guys... NEWBIE here.
Owner of a 2009 Chevy Cobalt Turbo sedan....... **BUT**
In the process of of buying a 2005 Evo.... since you all own them what do I need to be on the look out for....
What is stock boost... this one shows about 12-14psi or so.... has a carbon steering wheel pod with an autometer mechanical boost gauge.
Thanks I appreciate any insight

Stock peak boost is anywhere from 17-21psi I've seen and tapering down from there. Your best bet is to have one of the local guys check it out for you before you buy it. Definitely check for mods, tune, compression check, oil leaks, t-case whine, etc. And what's up fockers??? haha, Colorado is pretty damn nice, I'm wearing hoodies at night being cold and my job isn't really that fun yet!

Yes it is... it's in Cary, NC.
I just don't want to give up my car for something unreliable... I've been in the DSM world (just been a LOONG TIME)...
I keep seeing all this 19-20psi stock boost where this is at a solid 12-14 held to redline.... unless the boost gauge just isn't reading the spikes....
has some sort of tubular manifold and o2 housing... but dont' know the brand looks like Megan but I can't tell.
Clutch seemed nice and firm, no whine, intake manifold looked brand new too. But the carfax shows NO type of service records...
