I had an 03 Cobra a few years ago, but it wasn't a great car to have as a daily driver. I considered trying to pick up a Cobra and a DD, but have decided against it.
The GT500's are pretty bullet proof too and I love that blower whine. The only thing that I've seen could be an issue with the new 5.0's is the tranny being weak. It's only rated for like 375 hp or something lol I don't think it would ever be an issue for someone like me that doesn't race the car, but something to consider. The only other thing that I'm not sold on yet on the 5.0's is the sound. They don't have that typical Ford V8 sound
I think these are the best sounding exhausts that I've heard yet for the 5.0

I think these are the best sounding exhausts that I've heard yet for the 5.0Trannies being week? They are throwing 300 shots off the line in these things and running low low 10's high 9's. Some of them the body is twisting because of the tq and lack of suspension for drag.

hey guys its almost time for the second cookout of the year (i swear if this becomes an annual thing I'll laugh). Just trying to get a headcount for who is planning on coming. For those that didn't see the previous posts about it it will be next Saturday (11-13-10) at ~6,6:30pm. There will be burgers, hotdogs, chips, beer, etc. Friends, gf's, wives, whoever wants to show is welcome. Let me know by next Friday so I can make a Costco run and get supplies!!
