nice vid! I'm pretty sure Chad's car blew the mic on that car-mount. Distortion ftw! I also like the Lexan windshield waving like a flag near the end.
That was a sick on-car video, I was like whoa, then I saw that 240 cruising. Very nice. How much power did that think make with the 2JZ?
again, good video. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure. I believe it was somewhere around 700. He has been racing on the same setup for a while so im sure its routine for him to race that thing. Especially in a lite car like a S14, and from owning a ton of 240s myself it is very very easy to go fast in them. The DSM makes right around 800 but havent re-tuned since he raced back here a couple weeks ago. Seems as tho Chris waits till two three days before a race to get the car set up with us.

NC Vettes link to charity Cars n Coffee
$20, entry form at link.
I probably will not be able to attend, as I just got informed I would be required for DR application testing Saturday morning.

What's up peeps.
Missed you guys at the show yesterday. I got off work at 11am and rolled over there to check it out. Rodney was ridin solo, solooooo. Jim had already left.
Japanese class:
1st: Black NSX (type S badging... clean like Rodney but a 1991.)
2nd: Red NSX
3rd: New GTR, looked stock. Was kind of a bummer to think that someone could buy a new car, not mod it, drive it to a show, and place. Maybe it was modded and I didn't realize it, but the wheels were stock and the hood was down.
The only other interesting thing was that 1st and 2nd in the Porsche class was taken by the same guy, with a couple of classic spyders/speedsters, a 550 and I believe the second one was a 356... and 1st and 2nd in the German (non-porsche) class was taken by the same dude with a couple of Benzes. I know one was the red AMG Black, and I think the other was that white gullwing but who knows.
On 40 a landscape trailer lost a tire right beside Rodney with me following, throwing huge chunks of tire over the top of my Evo as I swerved like Sean from Tokyo Drift underneath them.
Oh, and bought Jim's old Tanabe Medalion CBE, so I can get rid of that 2 1/4 muffler-shop special that is on there. Quite a busy day.
Anyone got a downpipe recommendation for a IX or one lying around?

haha that reminds me of the cary car show. Some guy had a r8 and got an award bone stock. Doesn't **** me off but it happens a lot. Once you get above the 80k price point people go gaga over certain models.
Sounds like you had a great weekend tho!

Plus, then the mustang guy spends another 5K on his and he walks me again...

Haha, It's nice to know that the Evo community still has each other's backs!
Yeah, I know, and it's tempting ...but where is the line drawn? There's always something faster. All it takes is one unexpected encounter to make the +15K you sunk on mods and tuning seem like it was not worth it...
