Soooooooooo. So far so good. Never got over 192 (I think, we finished at 5am because running the dumptubes out of the hood was a PITA). Got as low as 182. This is with AC on max air and set at 3.
I noticed the fans were set to come on at 190. I'm going to change it to come on at 160 so it will basically come on all the time (not sure if I can set it to come on high).
Positive progress but I'm too tired to elaborate at this point. And reluctant to call it a win since I've been here before.

Ran some errands today and had the car on AC the whole time...even stopped to get gas and left it running with AC on and had no issues. Couldn't log but needle stayed put.
So far so good. I noticed the car is warm when at a stop (AC doesn't blow). Is there a way to have the compressor kick on when stationary?

Wire those suckers up all the time man and forget about it
Ali, how did that low temp help yours out?
I just got word from the new owner of my car today that the new tuner had it idling for 45min straight in Utah and no heat issues same fan as Smurf and no thermostat

I was a little disappointed with the July one. I may come out but my wife and her STi probably won't come with. I'd like to meet up with some people before I go.
ForceFed. Definitely helped the situation. I think if we have the fans on high all the time that would help even further. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hurrel, I'll second what he says about Rt 1. Other than passing through some towns with a few traffic lights (it stops being an expressway a couple times), Rt 1 will take you almost to the track. No joke though, after the sun goes down, watch your *** for deer on Rt1. I've dodged many, and surprisingly far north (like near the nuclear plant between Holly Springs and Cary).
