So thought of giving you guys an update on the upgraded mishimoto thermostat that Justin sent me. I ran it Friday night where it was cooler out and right off the bat it seems to be maintaining the engine operating temp around 165 where previously I was mainly running at 185. So that’s a good start assuming 165 is where the engine likes to be.
Ran close to 15 WOT pulls and no overheating issues , then ran into some stop and go traffic and I over heated to 203….as the traffic started moving the temp dropped to normal again. So overall, I think it’s a necessary mod. I am going to try to maybe bleed the system for any air pockets and see if that may have been the cause. I doubt it but will see!
On a side note, I installed my Fuellab FPR this weekend (will share pics later on), I think it turned out to look nice and it seemed to help with my lean out issue. I am running the Wally 400 (262 version-gasoline) with pte1000’s, and a -6 feedline. At 30psi with the hta86 and I could hit 12.7 up-top, so I am investigating other means to richen her up. I am leaving the double pumper as a last resort, but what’s everyone else using as far as fuel setups for those with 500+whp?
Thanks
ps. Prior to swapping the Tstat, i would hit 205 after the 2nd WOT pull.

nice! I take it ur on E85? .... I am thinking maybe I should have done that and went with the double instead of experimenting with these off the shelf pumps .... don't get me wrong I think they are great upto 450-500 but nothing more. will see how it goes as I am about to open up the fuel basket and check if the pump is seated properly. I am thinking if it isn't, then maybe that's why I am loosing pressure after engine shut-ff.
out of curiosity, what max load do u hit at that power level?

ali.. we have had 500hp pump gas cars on a simple a system at FIC1050 and a single aero 340.. even a 730hp E85 car with a stock rail, lines and regulator with a double pumper with two aeros... Even mikes silver car in dsport made 590 on pump with two aeros and stock size lines.
