Ok, on the starter there two connectors, one of which is the negative... can you double check if it is in place? ... mine used to get lose once in a while, until I zip-tied it (I used to ziptie things for living!)

My starter was also clicking and even tested good at the local parts store but was still the culprit. If you can, try and have someone hit the starter with a hammer and see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't, definitely try replacing the ignition starter switch like what the CZeroMedia says. I had to replace mine when I first got my evo. Part you're looking for: https://stmtuned.com/collections/evo...em-evo-7-8-9-x

My friend figured it out. It was the terminal connection to the battery. The positive terminal had gotten loose due to some minimal corrosion so the starter wasn't getting any power. He connected the starter directly to the battery and the car started right up. Cleaned the battery terminal and tightened it up. We're good to go. Thanks for the reply guys because I did what you guys told me to do.

Forgot to post it up from yesterday, but here's the results.

Bolt ons, no intercooler. Was told stock one was good enough, but I should have got one. Got up to 315 but the IC was getting heat soak, so 300/307 is a nice safe number.

Just got my car all fixed yesterday. I had the front o2 sensor go out. Turns out it's the biggest pain in the *** to remove. PB blast, blow torch did nothing to help. Almost completely rounded the bolt trying to get it out. Turns out you need to remove your radiator to get to the sensor, so i figured i'd take the opportunity to replace the coolant as well as change all the drivetrain fluids at the same time.

Spinks, 4" is gonna be huge. Going big numbers I assume?

Anyone planning on going to detail garage cars and coffee on the 26th? I plan on going if I don't have work

Also, I just saw a wingless red evo x heading south on 55 up in morrisville near kit creek road about 5 minutes ago. No idea who owns it

One day I will, 450-500 hp is the goal, but might as well get the biggest IC I can without having to trim, and the SST will get the Kosmic treatment before I move past the stock turbo and pump gas. So I figured buy once and not have to change it out again. I had the chance to ride in a very high power X when I was at the tuner and I got bit by the bug. Still aiming for a road course car when it's all said and done.

Good to hear it's fixed, sounds like some work for an o2 sensor .

Detail garage sounds fun, but wouldn't morrisville's be the next weekend? We all should be able to meet up for either one of those.

I'm not sure how the 4B11 is, but the most basic intercoolers upgrades for the 8/9 are rated for like 700hp, a 4" would be like if you're going like 900+ hp IIRC.

Yeah man, apparently ALOT of people have reported that the front o2 sensor is on stupid tight. I believe mitsubishi never put anti-seize on from the factory + with it being 13+ years old at this point, it 's completely believable.

Morrisville Cars and Coffee isn't until February 1st. If anyone else is planning on going, a few guys local to me are meeting up at 8:45AM at 2861 Jones Franklin Rd, Raleigh, NC 27606 on the morning of the 26th if anyone is planning on going

I had an old Buschur 4" FMIC on my Evo 9 years ago. I had the FMIC anodized black & removed my trunk spoiler, loved that setup. 4" FMIC can support a ton of power. I made an easy 450whp with a basic stock frame turbo, 93 oct & self tuned. FMIC is a pretty pricey item, so that was something I only wanted to buy once.

@AKillEaze I was confused as to why your 02 sensor was tight then realized you were still running the stock 02 housing. Been years since I've done one but I with the right tools I thought you could remove it without taking out the rad.

I may be interested in some up & coming cars & coffees. Keep this thread updated on if you guys are going or not.
