Well, I had to jinx myself by posting. I was on 1/4 tank and went out for lunch. First three stations I went to only had 87. Lucky for me, the 4th station had 93. My wife does not know it yet, but we are going to start carpooling again until this crap subsides.

I'm having the same problem in Cherokee County. I also don't have anything else to drive and I work at Dobbins Air Force Base (25 mile drive). I have to limp my car to work anyways because of a slipping clutch. I have to be at work by 6am so I'll leave around 5am to look for gas tomorrow.

Shouldn't the ecu pull timing as soon as knock is detected?

They're unsure. Reports said it was only supposed to last a couple days...we're now going on a couple weeks

I've been on 87oct for a couple of days now in the X.
I get honked at because I drive super slow
55mph on the interstate = great mpg , slowly pulling away from stops frustrates other folks though.

Had the same problem, tried like 11 gas stations, wasting a lot of time, miles & gas to TRY and find 93oct, but EVERYONE WAS OUT!

Car runs fine, I'm just extra cautious by not getting on it. No boost
Checked the manual - it said 87oct would work but to try and get 93oct as soon as possible.

I topped it off last night with some 89oct. We have 5 gas stations super close to my house and none has had 93oct every time I check (each morning and each evening as I pass em).

I need to get some 93oct for my bike, the yamaha manual didn't specify that its safe for 87oct, not quite sure if I want to put it in the bike yet. At least the Mitsubishi manual gave you an option of putting it in the car.

I live down in warner robins (just below Macon). I had that problem today, riding around looking for 93... I finally found some at a crappy gas station no one uses...

Remember the good days when premium was 20 more cents than regular? Yea, it was 60 more cents today... 3.75 for 87 and 4.33 for premium. These guys know no one has it and are price gouging...

I've been lucky to find it on base, but today was the first day I had to really search.
