The weather (but only some of the time) it gets really hot outside after you figure in the humidity.

I would also like to get a lot of these senior citizens off of the road. I hate getting stuck behind them when they are going 15 in a 50. I knew a lady who was near the legal limits for being blind when she HAD her glasses on. Not once did she ever have a problem getting a new drivers license. It drove me nuts, and frankly scared me that she was still allowed to drive.

I've only been down here for 7yrs and I was born and raised in NYC. He ain't joking the Heat is relentless out here we get a decent break for about 2 - 3 months in the winter if were lucky and still i'm not used too it. I wish for winter every summer out here. You and I are used to the summertime where it's hot during the day but it cools down at night. That **** don't happen out here its 80 - 90 during the day and still humid and stays close to 80 in the night with no sun... So prepare yourself. On the plus side is Central AC in the house not like back in NYC where you hoped you had a window AC for at least one room in the house.

I lived here most of my life and moved away after I got married. We lived in AZ, NC, GA, etc. We allways end up back here in Tampa. Always! At this point neither of us is even willing to move away. I used to move for jobs, since IT was nuts for a while, but no way now. I'd work in a service station to stay here.

The only negative thing I can say about Tampa is the crime rate. There is a lot of crime around Tampa, but if you live in a decent location you won't even notice. Just avoid the bad areas; talk to someone local before you move in somewhere. But don't let this deter you. The crime is nowhere near as bad as Miami or NY.

As for the heat and humidity, once you get used to it you'll never want to be without it. I can't stand the cold any more and I hated the dry Arizona heat. All in all the tropical climate will win you over. Just try to stay closer to the beach so you have the nice breazes.

I have been dealing with a real estate agent from the area and he just told me that their is an issue with drinking water.

Current per unit cost for WATER
PINELLAS COUNTY SARASOTA COUNTY MANATEE COUNTY
$2.87 $ 2.66 $ 1.24

So the average water bill can be anywhere from $45 to maybe $150 per month ?

Our water rates in Hillsborough County are only $0.65 per 1,000 gallons up to 5,000 gallons per month...
