potential Rim Thieves GTA

I got my tire rotation done just a few days ago at Simone Performane Imports. Service from them is AMAZING!!!

then today i went to a tint shop right next to them and got a sunstrip done. as i was pulling out, the guy who did the strip saw that i was missing a lug nut and he told me. good thing simone was just next door so i talked to a rep.

I told them that i did a rotation just a few days ago and i was missing a lug nut and the lady said she'll replace it right away. I told her that they were aftermarket; Rays lightweight racing nuts with locks. so she called one of the mechanics.

The mechanic said that he can put money on the fact that someone probably tried to steal my rims.... so he brought out a torque wrench and checked if the nuts were tight. ALL were tight except 2 on the rim that was missing. they werent "loose" but he made about a 1 cm turn on them.

At this point we were still speculating if someone did try to steal it or one of the techs forgot to install the nut.

The owner just got to the shop and saw what the problem immediately. and with out me saying anything he said.. how much do those cost? (160) okay. lets order them in. He called up JRP and ordered the exact same nuts and when they come in, he's putting on the new nuts on my car and taking my old ones.

So like the title says, "Potential Rim theives"....so just be sure you guys buy nuts with the locks.... and Simone Performance rocks with the Customer service! (btw my tire rotation cost me 40 + tax) i'll be going there for all my alignment and tire needs from now on

The keys are universal which is the problem. It would be nice if lug nuts come with unique locks / patterns but a pain in the *** if you need to get a new one.

It could have been loose and come off if the nuts were not torqued properly.
