another option to removing tape everytime is to

take a razor blade /cardboard knife, and cut, te plastidip before removing the tape after the final layer

btw when u ripped the tape off did the plastidip sttart tocome w/ it?

yeah it started to come off with it, I ended up getting a straight edge and putting it up against the plastidip side while i ripped off the tape but you can tell it still doesn't look right if you're up close. I was too scared to use a razor to do it ... lol I'll just end up redoing it and do the suggestion of retaping after each coat...

i actually got lazy, so im going to use an exacto knife
to cut, since bumper is plastic, no rust even if i cut a bit deep by accident, and nothing the plastidip cant fix if i cut a bit deep i'll just spray an extra coat w/ new tape =P

i'll have pics up by 2morrow guys but it loks FRICKIN AWESOME so far!!!

i didnt do the whole 1 layer of tape per layer thing..instead i did the following which worked well

1 layer of tape until 4th layer... 30 mins after 4th layer i used excato knife to help remove the tape ( only 1 side was a bit off, didnt cut deep enuff)

then i proceeded to lay 1 fresh layer of tape for 5th, coat....then after 15 mins removed tape and vola!...perfect and fixed the earlier imperfection =)

chrome grill turned out great with 4 coats....make sure to use goo-gone and get rid of all the residues from the vinyl

Yea, don't clear coat the plasti dip. Clear coat would just make it shiny!

Doesn't need anymore protection anyways

You can use the plasti dip to black out your tail lights, side markers and paint your rims!

Its true! if you want pics of this done, let me know and ill post them.

Looks legit if you ask me, its awesome!

Its on sale?! wow, i'mma grab them all!

Here are some picks:

tails aren't done on my car; but just used it as ref from other lancer members.

This is showing the layers of plasti dip you wanna do. Obviously each layers makes it thicker but yea.

Here are the rest.

Soul, i'd say about at least 2 cans per rim and 1 1/2 clear coat.

Here are pics of the rims.
