WINTER PREP : Where to get Rust proof/under coat? Block Heater?
1) Hey all, im looking around for places that do rust proofing for my 09 lancer. I will definitely need one when i go back up north for school.
Can someone give me a place where you've had a good experience with?
2) And another question, would you guys suggest a block heater or a oil pan heater?
3) I'm having a hard time finding winter tires for the stock 09 GTS lancers, what companies offer a winter tire for ours?

as for winter tires, i've got the winterforce and they are excellent for grip, i havnt had any sort of understeer/oversteer(unless i induced it =P) while driving even when it was snow really hard like 5in+ on the ground
other than the firestone winterforce i'd also recommend the Michelin winter tires 4got what they were called (Pilot???, blizztech??) if you're lucky the michelin X-ICE but i beleive they stopped making those.
and blockheater as well as oilpan heaters arent needed..you'll be fine if you switch to synthetic oil

I just have Goodyear Nordic tires LOL they were cheap and do the job kinda (I did slip on black ice and crash last year but then again I was speeding around a corner so it was kinda my own stupid fault haha)

^ make sure you dont park on your driveway or if u do get some cardboard boxes to put under when it drips. Its a pain in th *** to get rid of the oil stains.
If you plan on parking in the street becareful about getting a ticket. A guy on another board got a ticket for leaking oil into the street
.
If you dont mind tomorrow can you ask them about club specials ? Maybe set one up for more members on here.
