Discount Oil and Filter

It actually depends. price quoted for royal above is from a vendor that deals ONLY with royal.
if i go to a different vendor that deals with multiple vendors, their margins are way different since they sell different volumes according to different companies. but hang tight since a few more vendors are to call me up this week with updates and negotiations.

hmm..makes me wanna wait for this til I do my service oil change.
I can stroll into a dealership and tell them to use this oil instead, right?
and then get discount on service too?!?

I use royal purple in my car, I'm at 9400km and 2 changes so far; last one being 2 weeks ago. The most
recent price I got was 10/L no tax. These prices smoke has is promising and I'm interested. Probably for a case
stitchflip: I suggest you just buy the oil elsewhere for now instead of postponing your oil change. Cause you need 5 bottles for a change and have left over oil so around 4.4L if I'm not mistaken. And the most you will save is under 10. But you can use the discounted oil for next time

hmm..that's a good idea.
do you know any place where I can get them for now?
(w/ cheap price of course! I'm moving soon so I'm kinda poor - well always poor! )
It would run me a like $20 more in total than what I normally pay @ the dealership to get my oil change, but hey, it's Mobil 1.

guys.. note that the prices above are for a group.. so basically we need enough people to make that special number of 6 pails to get oil for $6.45
im not asking you guys to put your name down to buy a whole case yourself. i recommend buying at least 8 liters min though...so thats for 2 oil changes. the more people that join in the group buy, the less we have to buy to make that savings mark.

Royal Purple (which I use) I got $10/bottle (no taxes) at Speedtech Markham. Got 5 bottles. Also I've seen that Krown Lakeshore is selling for 7.99 + tax if you buy 12 bottles (a case) which is essentially 9/bottle. I personally would go with just getting 5 at Speedtech. If you're looking for a cheaper solution you can always get some Mobil1. But I prefer RP since it is a Group IV synthetic while M1 is a Group III. And Mobil1 i believe is on sale at Partsource - something like 35 bucks for 4L. check out their flyer
I go to them too sometimes, but the one in Brimley and Finch.
Thanks for the 4-1-1, laksman!

can I get the Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W-30? and what filter should I get?

does it have to say synthetic on the label?
I was @ CT today but I can't find the one on sale over the weekend and I almost picked up the Mobil 5W-30 5L but decided to ask you guys first.
and also for the filter, what brand is good to buy?
