Evo X owners: Transfer Case and Transaxle Fluid Change?
For the Evo X owners,
Have any of you changed your Transfer case oil and transaxle fluid yet? At 24K KMs, I'm due for these fluid changes. How much would these run at the dealership?
I know that the transaxle uses DiaQueen NEW MULTI GEAR OIL API classification GL-3, SAE 75W-80(which is special order according to Markham Mitsubishi) and the Transfer Case uses MITSUBISHI limited slip differential oil (LSD) or equivalent.
Anyone have experience or know of any other shops besides the dealership that can do these changes? and roughly how much would it run?
Thanks

Wow, look like Evo X going to be very high maintenance for me! at" 24k it will require Transfer case oil and transaxle fluid", plus oil change every 3 mths or 5K. I had Supra, M3, Mercede c230 and Accord. Evo require lots service compare to my previous car!

I did a 24K package at Brampton Mitsubishi which included engine oil/filter change and transfer case fluid change amongst other things. It cost a bit over $350.
We worked out the costs of the individual items... and engine oil change + transfer case fluid on their own pretty much came out to that amount. So I think that package is good in regards to dealer prices.
