is 9006 bulb fitment ok? cus ive been hearing from other ppl/ other sections that they use h11 for the fogs.. is there any specific reason why, or can i just run 9006 for the fogs (since im already running 9006 for my lowbeams, itd make it easier if i can run them both the same..)
sorry kinda dont know anything about bulb fitments any help is appreciated thanks

I actually have a set of 8000k hid h11 for sale. I had them on for a 2 months max but changed my fog lights to my daytime running lights. I didn't want to run in to any flickering problems since the day time doesn't put out enough energy for the hids. There won't be any problems if they are set up as your regular fogs because you are required to turn on your lights b4 you can switch your fogs on, which will give the bulbs full power. Please pm me if your interested, I'm willing to let them go for cheap.

build quality varies from manufacturer. spectrum light in the uv invisible range can drive up tems significantly if not properly filtered. also there are kits out there that run higher wattage as well.
the general rule is they draw less power = less heat. but there are many ways like mentioned above, where the rule doesnt apply

avoid brands that use high wattage hids and unfiltered bulbs. if possible find double filtered bulbs. a few manufacturers offer this upfront. they cost more but ur getting what need. xenondepot offers these but this is not exclusive to them, i perfer them because of their history vs. all else

thanks for the reponses guys, i undestand now.
how about the wattage though?
i can either go for 35 or 55w... im going for 35w on my fogs (dont want to burn my housing) but do most kits come 55w? can anyone enlighten me on the pros and cons of the two respective wattages?

1. more watts = more heat
and remember, when u go from regular halogen to hid 35 wattage ur already gaining 2 to 3 times more light output
2. 55 watt more light out can potentially add to any convertion kits glare.
3. additional electrical load, can strain other electrical subsystems, effect more noticable on older cars.
4. more heat, shorter life span. 55w kits are not the mainstream, so it will take time before this type of kit is perfected. this maybe contested but i am speaking industy wide.
etc...
